Café Restaurant ‘It Foarûnder’
Situated on an island called Starteiland lying in Sneekermeer, Café Restaurant ‘It Foarûnder’ is really lying in the centre in Frisian. On an intersection of waters, and connect with larger and smaller waters this island can be reached by boat. When one once to travel from the pier to the island, the ferry can be used.
Café, Restaurant, Closed veranda and Terrace
In Café Restaurant ‘It Foarûnder’ one can enjoy a delicious lunch, a quick plate, an extended dinner or buffet. Seated in the café or in the closed veranda when the weather is not that beautiful, or enjoying a cup of coffee/tea at the terrace in the sunshine with the most beautiful view of Frisian: the Sneekermeer.
Banquet rooms
Besides a cosy cafe in nautical style, Café Restaurant ‘It Foarûnder’ also has 3 banquet rooms of different sizes. These banquet rooms can, if necessary, be connected to each other by which a large area with a maximum capacity of 600 persons in theatre seating by which the sphere in the rooms is not affected.
These rooms are perfect areas for a private meeting, training, employees party, birthday party or a wedding reception. Combined with activities a perfect team day can be organized in which food and beverage are inevitable.
Activities
At the water, on dry land, indoor or outdoor; the choice is yours. There are several possibilities and if your required activity is not stated on our website, please inform us. We are more than willing to take your wishes in consideration and combine them with our possibilities.
Opening hours
From April 8th 2011 on Café Restaurant ‘It Foarûnder’ is open again during the weekends. From May 1st till October 1st 2011 we are open during the whole week. In October we are open during the weekends and from November till April we are closed. During closed periods we are only open on appointment.
